What is Positive Gun Dog Training?

Positive gun dog training is simply retriever training with the application of BF Skinner's principles of Operant Conditioning. Positive reinforcement means adding a motivator to the dog's environment when the desired behavior is exhibited, making the dog more likely to exhibit the behavior in the future. In other words, dogs to what pays, and quit doing what doesn't pay.
